It was initially released on 29 January 2004 in Japan as a pair with Pokemon Leaf Green Version which shares the same story, plot with minimal changes.

The Basic goal in this game is to Catch the Pokèmons, Fight Other Trainers especially Elite Four, Defeat Gym Leaders to earn Gym Badges, Fight Team Rocket and Catch Legendary Pokemon(optional).

The Storyline, plot characters and take characters are as the same as the original Pokemon Red game.

Apart from the previous generations, there is an addition of some of the features in the game.

• Now you can choose your Gender as Female.
• The inclusion of New Place including Sevii Island where you can Moltres, fight Team Rocket.
• New and Updated Pokemon Movelists.
• Introduction of a Wireless Adapter.

The game starts in Pallet Town, and as soon as you are about to explore the outside world, you will be approached by Professor Oak.

Professor Oak will give you an option to choose any one pokemon from Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander to begin your journey.

After beginning your journey you will fight other trainers, and if you win you will receive money, and your pokemon will gain experience.

Features of Pokemon Fire Red

✅ Catch Pokemon – In the beginning, you will only have one pokemon that was given to you by Professor Oak.

But to fight against various trainers and strong gym leaders, you will need to catch more of Pokemon.

You can encounter a pokemon by running in the tall grass, and the screen will shift to a Fight mode.

The Opponent player will be shown at the upper right side along with its health bar on the left top side.

Your pokemon will appear in the lower left side with the health bar and gender sign shown in the lower right side.

You will be given four options to choose from. If you decide to fight, then you can choose which attack you want your pokemon to perform.

If you choose the BAG option, then it will show all the items in your Bags like Pokè Balls, Potions and other things.

From the POKèMON you can know the Summary of all your Pokemon’s like the Name and its Type. You can also exchange your current pokemon with others one.

If you don’t have the intention to Fight then simply choose the RUN option and the match will drop instantaneously.

✅ Fight Team Rocket –

Team Rocket has more role in this version than the previous one so you will encounter several trainers from Team Rocket and also fight their boss.

You will fight them in the Rocket Hideout, Sevii Island and at more places.

By fighting them you will earn money, and your pokemon will also gain experience.

✅ Catch Legendary Pokemon

You can fight and catch Legendary Pokemon like Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo and more from various locations.

These legendary pokemon have the ability above all the normal ones and if you have one in your team then winning a battle becomes a piece of cake for you.

✅ Visit Sevii Island

In this version of the game, some new places are added, and the most exciting one is the Sevii Island.

The team rocket has a new base in Sevii Island, and you will fight them there too.

Apart from that, you can catch the legendary pokemon Moltres and other powerful pokemon too.

✅ Fight Gym Leaders and Trainers

You will fight a total of 8 Gym leaders that you will have to fight to win the Gym Badge. You will also fight various trainers wherever you go.

Another trainer will approach you to fight, and if you win, you will receive some money and experience for your Pokemon.

You will also fight the Elite 4 Team that is powerful.

Pokemon Ruby is Gamefreak's third entry in the main series of Pokemon.
