The MassDOT Registry of Motor Vehicles Division today announced the availability of an updated version of its Spanish language Driver’s Manual in branches around the Commonwealth and online at MassRMV.com.

“We recognize the significant Spanish speaking population in the Commonwealth and the Registry is pleased to offer an updated translation of the manual,” said Registrar Erin C. Deveney. “We are committed to equipping customers with new motor vehicle law and rule information to help increase safety for all roadway users.”

The manual includes information on obtaining and keeping a license, special driving conditions, driving safety, the rules of the road, and motor vehicle ownership and motor vehicle operation.

The RMV will be distributing these updated Spanish language Driver’s Manuals to all 30 of its branch locations based on customer demand and to better serve Spanish speaking customers.

The Driver’s Manual/Manual Del Conductor is available in print for $5.00 and can be purchased in any RMV branch. Customers can save a trip to the branch by downloading the free, fully accessible, manual in English or Spanish online at www.MassRMV.com.

The RMV produces the Driver’s Manual to better prepare new drivers with important driving rules and information as they prepare to obtain their permit or license in Massachusetts. The Driver’s Manual also serves as a valuable tool to update experienced drivers on important law changes and rules of the road.
