Canon Serial Number Check Usa

Mar 12, 2004  All forums Canon EOS 7D / 10D - 80D Talk Change forum. Serial Number = Manufacture Date? Or U for Utsonomiya (lenses). The second letter is the date code, in which A is the year 1986. The next two digits are the month of manufacture, and the last two digits are apparently internal codes meaningful only to Canon. In the UG0205 example. Having been burnt once while buying a Canon 7D, I thought i would. The Serial number on the bottom of the 7D being only 7 digits. The fact is that any electrical product sold in the UK is covered for 1 year by the supplier.
